Job Description

The Senior Assistant Actuary will work within the Major Accounts Casualty Actuarial group as part of the Chubb North America Actuarial team. The primary responsibility is providing actuarial support for the Chubb Alternative Risk Solutions group (CARS).

The role is based in our Philadelphia, PA office and reports to the Lead Actuary for the CARS team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Streamline quarterly AvE process to improve efficiency and capabilities
• Updates/maintenance of pricing models - CARS
• Large account pricing for CARS
• Assist in quarterly reports

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
• ACAS preferred
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with VBA and other MS Office applications required; familiarity with SQL or R a plus
• 5+ years' experience with a property and casualty insurer or in a consulting role; meaningful pricing experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide clear and concise verbal and written communications of analyses, financial results, and work products.
• Excellent organizational skills along with the ability to maintain adequate documentation and record keeping.
