Terms and Conditions for Acturhire

Welcome to Acturhire! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our resume evaluation service. By submitting your resume for evaluation, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

• "Service" refers to Acturhire’s resume evaluation offering.
• "Credits" refers to the virtual currency that users purchase to utilize services like resume evaluations.
• "Users" refers to individuals accessing or using the Service, whether registered or unregistered.
• "Employers" refers to companies that may, in the future, have access to a searchable database of resumes.

2. Account Registration and Google Sign-In

To use the resume evaluation service, you may be required to register an account or sign in via Google. By signing in with Google, you agree to the following:

• You will automatically be subscribed to the Acturhire email newsletter.
• You can opt out of the newsletter at any time by following the unsubscribe link provided in the emails or contacting us directly.
• You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify Acturhire immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Use of Credits

• Credits are purchased through Gumroad or other payment processors and allow Users to submit resumes for evaluation.
• Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Each resume evaluation costs one credit. Users will be informed of credit usage before submitting their resume.

4. Resume Submission and Use

By submitting your resume to Acturhire for evaluation, you agree to the following:

• Your resume will be evaluated based on the job description for the role you’re applying to.
• Acturhire will keep your resume and associated data confidential, and it will only be used for the purpose of providing resume feedback unless otherwise stated in these Terms.

Future Use of Resumes:

• At some point in the future, Acturhire may create a searchable resume database for employers.
• Before this happens, we will send you an email notification, and you will be given the opportunity to opt out of having your resume included in this database.
• Your resume will only be made available to employers if you do not opt out.

5. Privacy and Data Collection

Your privacy is important to us. By using the resume evaluation service, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

In particular, you agree that:

• We may collect and store information such as your name, email address, and resume data.
• We will not share or sell your personal information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law or outlined in these Terms.

6. Payment and Refunds

• Payments for credits are processed through Gumroad or other authorized payment processors.
• All purchases are final, and credits are non-refundable.

7. User Responsibilities and Conduct

You agree to:

• Use the resume evaluation service only for lawful purposes.
• Not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Not attempt to hack, exploit, or otherwise harm the Service or its users.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in harmful or inappropriate behavior.

8. Limitation of Liability

Acturhire provides its resume evaluation service "as is" and without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permissible by law, Acturhire will not be held liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost data, loss of employment opportunities, or other damages.

9. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the resume evaluation service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. This includes the right to modify the credit system, available features, or pricing structures.

10. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the resume evaluation service if you violate these Terms or engage in any conduct we deem harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, you will forfeit any remaining credits.

12. Governing Law
