The Senior Actuarial Analyst will work within the Major Accounts Casualty Actuarial group as part of the Chubb North America Actuarial team. The primary responsibility is providing actuarial support for the Chubb Alternative Risk Solutions group (CARS) as well as DBA (Defense Based Act) team. The role is based in our Philadelphia, PA office and reports to an AVP for the CARS team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform quarterly AvE analyses for each bound CARS deal, which includes collaborating with offshore resources, documenting data issues and drivers of quarterly activity, and presenting to business unit.
- Produce various CARS quarterly reports including Deferred Asset and Cash Tracking.
- Perform annual collateral analyses for CARS novations.
- Responsible for DBA New vs Renewal Price Monitor and Exposure Summary.
- Provide data for annual CARS reserve review and peer review results of review.
- Assist with DBA Profitability Study and account pricing.
Qualifications
- BS degree or higher in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- Taking CAS exams, ACAS or near ACAS preferred
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with VBA and other MS Office applications required; familiarity with SQL or R a plus
- 5+ years' experience with a property and casualty insurer or in a consulting role; meaningful pricing experience preferred
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and good organizational skills along with the ability to maintain adequate documentation.
