Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the analysis of The Standard’s risk profile by supporting hedging and interest rate risk management infrastructure.
• Contribute to the development of the update and improvement to the overall ALM framework for measuring and managing interest rate risk, liquidity risk, asset allocation review for The Standard and product lines, and key rate duration implementation.
• Develop robust models that inform capital market decisions and supporting the growth of investment and insurance products within The Standard’s portfolio.
• Partner with other modelers on the Corporate Actuarial team to design and develop solutions for new initiatives and to promote model control standards.

Education/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, business or a related field. 
• Eight or more years experience in the actuarial field or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
• FSA designation required.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

• Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
