Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative individual to lead our Actuarial Data & Reporting Solutions Team. The Actuarial Data & Reporting Solutions Team is responsible for supporting actuarial stakeholders, maintaining data & reporting, and driving actuarial modernization efforts & best practices across the Actuarial Operations organization. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, actuarial knowledge, leadership, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, data management, actuarial modernization, and automation.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the Actuarial Data & Reporting Solutions Team, managing and mentoring a team of data analysts
- Act as the liaison between Enterprise Data and Actuarial teams to manage data needs and ensure data accuracy & completeness, primarily supporting Experience Studies with goal to expand responsibility over time
- Represent Experience Studies & Actuarial requirements in ongoing cloud migration initiatives as data is migrated from on-prem databases
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes and ensure data and BI tools are refreshed on a timely basis
- Drive automation efforts for reporting processes, utilizing SQL, Python, Redshift and Tableau
- Fulfill ad-hoc data requests from stakeholders across the broader organization
- Maintain data, reporting, BI, and automation controls infrastructure in Github, Redshift, and Tableau Cloud
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) preferred, but strong Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) candidates may be considered
- Prior leadership and project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Proven experience in actuarial modernization, specifically in transforming and automating data and reporting processes
- Proven experience with data analytics, business intelligence, and data management best practices, preferably in an actuarial context
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with actuarial, technology, and business unit teams
- Expertise in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Github
- Experience in Experience Studies, ALM, and/or Valuation processes a plus
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $110,000-$190,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
