The Assistant Actuary will work within the Major Accounts Casualty Actuarial group as part of the Chubb North America Actuarial team. The primary role is providing actuarial support for the Chubb Alternative Risk Solutions group (CARS) and DBA (CI and Major). The role is based in our Philadelphia, PA office (3+2 hybrid schedule) and reports to the Lead Actuary for the CARS and DBA team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Updates/maintenance of pricing models - CARS and DBA
- Large account pricing for CARS
- Assist with annual profitability study for DBA
- Assist with quarterly reports
Qualifications
Requirements:
- BS degree or higher in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- ACAS preferred
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with VBA and other MS Office applications required; familiarity with SQL or R a plus
- 5+ years' experience with a property and casualty insurer or in a consulting role; meaningful pricing experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide clear and concise verbal and written communications of analyses, financial results, and work products.
- Excellent organizational skills along with the ability to maintain adequate documentation and record keeping.
