Qualifications:
• Ideal candidates will be progressing toward a bachelor's degree and have completed at least 1-2 years in a preferred major and/or minor in Actuarial Science, Math, or Statistics.
• 3.2 minimum GPA
• Outstanding technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possession of a strong desire and demonstrated ability to lead.
• A drive to develop business and actuarial skills through ongoing trainings and a business-relevant project.
Other Information:
Work Schedule: January 21 - May 2 (Spring 2025 Semester)
Typical schedule is 15 hours/week, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 depending on weekly class schedule and campus requirements
Location: 900 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT
Hybrid work environment, two days in office each week and the remainder remote. Intern will work out specific schedule details with their internship manager.
Compensation:
Market range: Hourly paid position starting at $27.00 per hour
Other compensation: Transportation assistance for in-office workdays
Study materials support toward one upcoming actuarial exam
Work Authorization: One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B,CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
