Are you a final year student who has an interest in pursuing a career as an Actuary?

If so, Our Trainee Actuary position in Non-Life Reinsurance Reserving will give you exposure across multiple lines of business including Professional lines, Casualty, Property, Engineering and Accident & Health. You will receive excellent on-the-job training from our experienced Insurance professionals. You will be fully supported with study-time and financial incentives to become professionally qualified with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. This position will be based in our Dublin office with a hybrid schedule of working two days remote each week.

Key Responsibilities will include;

  • Providing support to all aspects of the quarterly reporting process.

  • Working on setting reserves under Solvency II and the company’s IFRS requirements.

  • Supporting teams cross functionally.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the reserving systems and tools.

What will you need?

  • BSc in mathematics, actuarial sciences, economics, finance statistics, or related field.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proficient in Excel, experience of developing SQL and VBA code.

  • Intern or placement experience is an advantage.

  • Team oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, and excellent written and oral communications skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Able to work in dynamic and agile environment.
