Job Summary:

The CareSource Summer Intern is responsible for providing support on special projects, initiatives, and specific activities which will vary by assignment.

Essential Functions:

  • In depth actuarial project with presentation to CareSource Senior Leaders
  • Work on forecasting, IBNR, rate filings, and other actuarial functions related to assigned team
  • Specific activities will vary by assignment
  • Assist with general office tasks
  • Provide support on special projects and initiatives
  • Gather and organize data
  • Assist with research,  analysis and reporting
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Perform any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Current junior or senior college / university undergraduate or graduate student in accredited degree program

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Effective  listening and critical thinking skills
  • Dependable, flexible and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Effective problem solving skills with attention to detail

Licensure and Certification:

  • None

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Compensation Range:

$34,500.00 - $55,100.00
