We're actively seeking a talented Sr Platform Architect - Finance and Actuarial to join our Pacific Life Technology Architecture in Newport Beach, CA.

This role is hybrid or 100% onsite. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As a Sr Platform Architect assigned to Finance and Actuarial domains, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by providing architecture guidance and direction on our Finance and Actuarial systems that include Oracle Financials, FIS Prophet, and Tyche. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 10 people in the corporate division. Your colleagues will include Architects and fellow technology professionals.

How you'll help move us forward:
  • Responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating the efforts of the architecture of a platform and its products.
  • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to prioritize features and requirements based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Define and align platform technical architecture (platforms, platform products. technical capabilities) with Pacific Life's business strategy, ensuring that business outcomes are achievable and measurable.
  • Design and document the overall structure, components, and interrelationships of a platform (IT systems, applications, data, and infrastructure).
  • Develop collateral describing the architectural components of a platform and its products, critical connection points and linkage to the future state platform architecture.
  • Define appropriate patterns to be developed by platform products.
  • Responsible for identification of architectural risks and works with platform owners, program managers, software vendors and platform portfolio architects to create and implement mitigations plans.
  • Responsible for review of platform epics and features (enablers) and ensuring that the platform architecture supports those features.
  • Participates in platform product development, assuring compliance with reference architectures, standards, and guardrails.
  • Develop prototypes and proof of concepts to validate design decisions, demonstrate functionality, and gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the planned features, enhancements, and releases over time, and aligns with the organization's strategic priorities.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$144,630.00 - $176,770.00
