The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.
CNO Financial Group’s Actuarial Department is hiring a Sr Actuary Annuity Valuation to manage all valuation activities for other CNO Business annuity blocks of business.
This is your opportunity to prepare and participate in the delivery of GAAP earnings presentations to senior management.
As a Sr Actuary Annuity Valuation, your responsibilities will include:
Providing and explaining quarterly and annual GAAP, SAP and tax valuations for DA and FIA blocks of business.
Assisting Managing Actuary in researching and performing senior level analysis on earnings. Providing explanations of variances of actual results to Plan.
Preparing, consolidating, and analyzing Risk-Based Capital (RBC) C-3 Phase I at the corporate level.
Supporting year-end reporting, including statutory annual statement, 10K/10Q disclosures, etc.
Assisting in Loss Recognition Testing for DA and FIA blocks and preparing and participating in delivering LRT presentations to senior management.
Assisting in streamlining the quarterly valuation process.
Supporting Sarbanes-Oxley directives.
Supporting internal and external audit inquiries.
Supervising work of support staff.
The Sr Actuary Annuity Valuation position is well-suited for you if you:

What you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree, in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.
Five years of related work experience.
Society of Actuary accreditation, ASA required.
What will set you apart:
Five years of life and/or annuity valuation experience.
Experience with Polysystem’s software.
Supervisory experience.
FSA or Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.
