The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s Actuarial Department is hiring a Sr Actuary Valuation (Traditional Life) to manage all valuation activities for other CNO Business Traditional Life blocks of business.

This is your opportunity to prepare and participate in the delivery of GAAP earnings presentations to senior management.

As a Sr Actuary Valuation (Traditional Life), your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing and explaining quarterly and annual GAAP, SAP and tax valuations for all traditional life blocks of business

  • Assisting the Sr Managing Actuary in researching and performing senior level analysis on earnings. Providing explanations of variances of actual results to plan.

  • Preparing relevant annual statement exhibits and schedules.

  • Assisting in Loss Recognition Testing for all traditional life blocks and preparing and participating in delivering LRT presentations to senior management.

  • Supporting Sarbanes-Oxley directives.

  • Supervising work of and developing support staff.

The Sr Actuary Valuation (Traditional Life) position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Build meaningful relationships regardless of in person or remote communication and work styles.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or equivalent area of study.

  • At least five years of relevant work experience.

  • ASA accredited through Society of Actuary.

What will set you apart:

  • FSA accreditation.

  • Experience with Polysystems software preferred.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.

Compensation

Pay Range: $124,200.00 - $186,200.00 Annual
