This role is responsible for actuarial analysis, reporting, and modeling of life and/or annuity transactions to support the
quarterly financial reporting, experience/performance analysis, and internal capital model/seed run processes for non-traditional reinsurance structures.
Essential Functions:
(40%) Build and maintain accurate and efficient actuarial models for nontraditional reinsurance structures to ensure appropriate expectations are set and communicated to management of the performance and risk level of the underlying transactions.
(20%) Assume responsibilities for certain categories, for quarterly reporting of non-traditional life and/or annuity solutions. Quarterly reporting responsibilities include: initiate, develop, peer review, and provide analysis and evaluation of model results, format and present results and analysis in an appropriate manner for further actuarial review.
(20%) Enhance reporting processes in order to report accurately and efficiently under different bases, e.g. US and Bermuda statutory, IFRS, and Solvency II including internal capital modeling
(10%) Assist in or lead projects that come up on an ad hoc basis.
(10%) Assist in the development of actuarial student

Essential knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or similar
- 5+ years of actuarial experience across financial reporting and/or pricing roles
- Associate (ASA considered with 5+ years experience) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries
- Actuarial modelling experience: Risk Agility FM, MG-ALFA, GGY Axis, or similar
- Computer software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic (VBA), SQL
- Insurance product knowledge: Term, ULSG, FIA/FA, VA
- Business knowledge: Reinsurance, Solvency II, IFRS17, US Stat, CARVM/AG33
- Business skills: Strong verbal communication, Excellent writing skills, Outstanding problem solving acumen
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries
- Experience with the valuation and/or pricing of modern life or annuity products
- Computer software: Proficiency in R Studio, Python, or similar
Travel:
- Limited travel expected (
Total Compensation Range (Inclusive of Base + Bonus):
- $111,500 - $198,100
