JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The role is responsible for establishing premium rates and conducting financial analysis and reporting. A key responsibility of this role is supporting the Molina Marketplace ACA individual pricing process by developing rates, creating regulatory filing documents, and addressing regulatory objections. The candidate may lead multiple projects of varying scale and complexity with limited direct supervision.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Analyzes data, assists in designing studies, authors effective communication, and generates recommendations with supporting documentation.
  • Analyzes emerging experience to monitor medical cost trends and identify early signs of potential issues.
  • Implements high level tactics and strategies with limited guidance.
  • Possesses subject matter expertise in at least one actuarial function (pricing, reserving, risk adjustment, analytics, modeling, etc.)
  • Leads an analytical project from beginning to end with limited direct supervision.
  • Advanced technological skills with Excel and familiar with another statistical, query, or programming language.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics

Required Experience

2-4 Years

Required License, Certification, Association

Must have passed at least 3 actuarial exams.

Preferred Experience

5-6 Years

Preferred License, Certification, Association

ASA or near ASA
