Primary Responsibilities:
- Modeling and forecasting plan performance for new clients
- Providing renewal & forecast support for existing clients
- Evaluating individual employer and book-of-business performance
- Assisting and supporting underwriting for guarantees & stop loss
- Supporting other financial and design-related requests risk-based arrangements
- Helping to standardize processes as Surest grows
- Documenting compliance with industry regulations
- Streamlining established processes via MS Office automation or other tools
- Developing standard processes for new work, as Surest continues to grow

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field
- 2+ years of actuarial or health plan data analysis experience
- Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and in particular financial charts and graphs)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing actuarial exam track
- Experience performing health plan (self-insured or fully insured) forecasting and analysis
- Experience reviewing health claims data and performance
- Experience developing and reviewing health care cost projections
- Experience working with health plans ranging from small to large group
- Willing to work eastern or central business hours, due to clients' needs

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
