How you'll make an impact

• Senior level role.
• Works on more complex jobs.
• Participates in the rate-making, reserving, and risk evaluation functions.
• Support new revenue growth and client retention for the region.
• Acts as subject matter expert and as an actuarial liaison to other departments.
• May mentor or check the work of others.
• Counsels management and advises on underwriting functions that require actuarial or mathematical techniques to determine appropriate courses of action.
• Assures preparation and interpretation of data in support of rate filings with various state insurance departments.
• Determines rates of mortality, sickness, retirement, etc. based on analysis of statistical data.
• Assists in design of insurance plans, calculation of premiums, determining cash reserves and premium rates necessary to ensure sufficient funds for benefits payment and profitability. Manages and conducts research projects and communicates findings to others under minimal supervision.
• Provides higher-level administrative/technical support to actuarial staff by preparing and analyzing statistical reports of data.

About You

Required: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years related experience.

License- Credentialed Actuary - ASA and / or FSA
