Collaborate with the VP, Market Research and Predictive Analytics to collect and synthesize internal and industry data in a way that amplifies the business development capabilities of Americas Financial Solutions. Support and augment business development through identifying and curating data sets; developing market research capabilities and expertise; performing exploratory data analysis; and creating business intelligence and data-analytics tools and models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, cleanse, transform, and relate multiple and disparate data sets.
  • Create and/or enhance dashboards and self-service business intelligence tools.
  • Perform bespoke research and execute on information requests from business development.
  • Provide actuarial and analytical expertise to support the development or enhancements of data-solutions.
  • Evaluate and/or utilize artificial intelligence tools.
  • Partner with business development on identification of cross-client trends.
  • Evaluate new external data sources and explore new applications of existing data sources.


Candidate Requisites

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science or related field
  • ASA + 1 FSA exam
  • 4+ years actuarial experience life insurance/reinsurance


Preferred:
  • Broad familiarity with life with and annuity products and reinsurance structures
  • Familiarity with capital markets and/or asset liability management experience
  • Statistical modeling experience


Skills & Abilities
  • Strong curiosity and a self-motivated desire to learn new skills and techniques and apply those to re/insurance problems
  • Advanced data visualization skills using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalents
  • Advanced analytical skills using SQL, Excel, R, Python or equivalents
  • Strong traditional actuarial analysis skills, including multivariate analysis
  • Ability to compile, analyze, refine, model, relate and interpret large and disparate data sets
  • Strong oral and written communication skills demonstrating an ability to share insights and explain technical topics clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to take ownership in projects and drive them to completion
  • Interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to collaborate effectively
  • Ability to set goals and handle multiple projects simultaneously through appropriately balancing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

Compensation Range:
$95,750.00 - $147,250.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
