Position Summary
This position fills a newly defined role on the Actuarial and Underwriting team that supports the PEO business. This person will support our reporting and analytics capabilities, and will work collaboratively with other actuaries, underwriters, and account executives. Additionally, this person will be in charge of the actuarial responsibilities for two PEO customers.
Examples of responsibilities and ownership include:
- Medical cost / trend analytics
- Customer performance reviews and suggested corrective actions
- Customer reporting enhancements
- Development of new business and renewal methodologies
- Exposure and presentations to internal senior leaders
- External customer presentations
- Internal training and education opportunities
- Forecasting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree along with 2+ years actuarial work experience or related fields
- Strong Communication skills for internal collaboration and external customer interactions
- Strong ability to problem solve and self-direct work, especially as it relates to actuarial analyses
- Strong thoughtfulness of impact of work on internal and external customer
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of PEO industry and dynamics
- Knowledge of Small Group and Large Group distinctions and nuances
- Knowledge of medical underwriting
- Experience in creating and delivering claim and/or performance reporting
- Understanding of SQL or similar languages to query and manipulate data
- Strong understanding of employer-sponsored medical insurance
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$72,100.00 - $158,620.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
