Key duties and responsibilities
- Produce analysis and provide insights to explain the impact of management actions on SCOR's financial results.
- Working closely with SCOR's Inforce Management Team, provide financial impact assessments, analysis and insights in relation to management actions to support critical business decisions.
- Partner with the regional finance team to ensure appropriate treatment of management actions and an efficient end-to-end process for quarterly production.
- Liaise with SCOR's internal model team to understand and explain the impacts to Solvency Capital Ratio, Risk Adjustment and Risk Margin in relation to management actions.
- Lead the annual assumption review in relation to SCOR's modelling of Future Management Actions - reviewing key parameters and methodologies.
- Partner with the wider US Reserving team to anticipate and explain impacts on Future Management Action modelling from other changes in the US portfolio.
- Work closely with the Group Actuarial Function and Independent Validation teams in relation to their peer review activities.
- Provide support to other teams in the US and Group in relation to audit and regulatory queries on management actions.
- Provide support to the US FP&A team in delivering insights into the impact of management actions on KPIs.
Qualifications
Required experience & competencies
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field with demonstrated record of academic excellence.
- FSA (or equivalent)
- 7+ years' experience with financial reporting and cash flow analysis or similar.
- IFRS17 and Solvency II experience a definite advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written and relationship building with ability to present insights to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to understand broader picture and impact of decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex models and analysis to deliver required results.
- Technically astute within the actuarial discipline and industry software applications. Experience with Prophet & SQL is a plus.
- Well-organized and a self-directed individual who is a team player.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to make strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and interns.
- Ability to build & maintain relationships with colleagues throughout the SCOR Group, within the US and globally.
