Position Summary
Join a high-performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna's exciting and growing government services pharmacy business.

This role is focused on determining and executing formulary and manufacturer rebate contracting strategy across Aetna and Silverscript's Medicare Part D and other government services pharmacy business. Use clinical knowledge and financial modeling to drive discussion and decisions on formulary coverage to ensure formulary strategy protects financial integrity and prevents anti-selection within the Medicare business. Forecast formulary impacts to pricing and profitability of Part D products. Engage in strategic discussions to ensure rebate contracting strategy maximizes financial value and minimizes expected claims costs. Collaborate with business partners in Clinical, Finance, Trade, Product and other Actuarial functions to achieve desired results. Involvement with other projects dealing with pharmacy and Medicare Part D will also occur.

The colleague will:
- Take full ownership of assigned projects, manage to overall deadlines and complete tasks independently while collaborating with others
- Possess and leverage strong communication and networking skills to effectively negotiate and collaborate across teams and business areas
- Act as a subject matter expert on assigned projects/concepts and integrate individual results with work performed by others
- Anticipate and recognize matters that materially affect financial results and develop sound, unbiased recommendations on how to resolve these matters
- Leverage strong technical skills and critical thinking to design and achieve business solutions

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree along with 5+ years related experience
- ASA or FSA required

- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Experience with SQL, working with large and detailed data sets
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated success in providing strong technical guidance and leadership direction
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Medicare Part D or pharmacy experience a strong plus

- Experience with SAS, R, Python a plus

Education
- Bachelor's degree

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
