The Senior Actuarial Associate, Life - Valuation candidate will be a key member of the Fortitude Re Valuation team, which serves the company by supporting valuation and financial reporting requirements for US GAAP and statutory accounting for reinsurance and acquired businesses. The candidate will align the business lines financial reporting to corporate and accounting policies, governance, and control framework and procedures.
The position can be located in the Fortitude Re Nashville, TN, Jersey City, NJ or Bermuda office on a hybrid schedule with minimal travel expected (0%-15%).
What You Will Do:
- Valuation and reporting of SPIA and Deferred Annuity business.
- Developing and implementing processes for newly acquired liabilities (onboarding).
- Supporting the implementation of LDTI processes and documentation needs.
- Identifying and implementing of process efficiencies and improvements.
What You Will Have:
- An undergraduate degree is required (preference for mathematics, actuarial sciences, statistics, or other quantitative fields).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an actuarial role.
- Associate of the SOA (preferred).
- Strong technical skills (Excel skills required).
- Exposure to actuarial software such as GGY/Moody's AXIS.
- Intermediate programing knowledge (at least one of SQL, R, Python, Alteryx, etc.).
- Exposure to business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Experience improving process efficiency.
The base salary range for this role is $118,631.00 - $155,558.00 and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
