The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Associate to play a key role in the evolution and support of various financial projection models used within Prudential Retirement Strategies (PRS). These models are essential for pricing Pension Risk Transfer, Longevity Risk Transfer, and Structured Settlement transactions of both Non-Jumbo and Jumbo (>$250M) size.
What you can expect:
• Research, design, develop, maintain, debug and enhance existing in-house Excel/VBA/Python based models
• Develop expertise on and become a key point of contact for actuarial calculations and Python code that drive our in-house Principle Based Reserving stochastic projection model
• Work directly with key stakeholders across multiple Pricing teams to understand their business requirements and design effective, tailored solutions to address those needs
• Migrate various Excel models, currently utilizing VBA code, to Python-based calculation engines with user-friendly GUI’s
• Offer real-time pricing support by addressing inquiries about model results or technical challenges
• Uphold industry best practices while developing, testing, and documenting models
What you'll need.
• 2+ years of actuarial experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss intricate actuarial concepts effectively within a group setting
• Core actuarial knowledge encompassing Life/Annuity products
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office-suite software
• A foundational understanding of Python and a keen interest in further developing expertise in this area
It’d be a plus if you had:
• Proficient in Python, SQL, VBA
• Experience working with Retirement / Pension products
• ASA or near-ASA
• Experience or familiarity with git or other version control systems
• Experience with DASH or other Python UI Tools
• Experience or familiarity with C#

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $97,300.00 to $144,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
