Senior Actuarial Associate (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ):

Perform quarterly reporting of insurance risk adjusted capital for Individual Annuities. Participate in insurance risk attribution and sensitivity analysis and present the results to actuarial senior leaders and business partners. Maintain and update quarterly insurance risk memo. Support development, testing, and enhancement of valuation model/process, such as partnering with Modeling team to test actuarial modeling system conversion from Moody's AXIS to PyVal (in house platform based on Python). Collaborate within Actuarial and across Financial Management areas (Chief Investment Office, Finance, Enterprise Risk Management, etc.) on the above. Work with Assumption/Modeling/other stakeholders to communicate the annual assumption updates and analyze insurance risk impacts.

100% telecommuting permitted. Candidate may reside and work from anywhere in the U.S.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in in Mathematics, Finance or related field and 1 year of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in all of the following:

  • GGY AXIS;
  • SQL or other database;
  • Programming in VBA, C++, or Python;
  • Knowledge in financial and statistical formulas in Microsoft Excel; and
  • Annuity product knowledge.
