The Senior Actuarial Analyst will be a member of the team supporting the Individual Exchange market product line.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support Exchange pricing activities such as rate development, preparing rate filings and responding back to regulatory authorities
  • Develop analyses that support the identification of meaningful medical and pharmacy cost trends, collaborating with subject matter experts to identify root causes of trends
  • Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections
  • Develop analyses to support risk adjustment optimization and reporting
  • Participate in strategic discussions and supports strategies for healthy and sustainable growth
  • Developing presentation materials and communicating results of actuarial analyses to various stakeholders
  • Developing actuarial models
  • Uses best practice models and other industry recognized pricing tools
  • Applies actuarial principles in the performance of job responsibilities.

Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of post-graduate Actuarial experience
  • 3 actuarial exams
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, SAS/SQL, and database applications used for analysis
  • Programming experience in Python or R is a plus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong ability to work on a team/communicate effectively
  • Experience with ACA is desired
