Overview
As a Senior Actuarial Analyst or AVP (dependent on experience level) you'll provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for our clients and prospects.

The role encompasses a wide range of activities, including reinsurance pricing analysis, interaction with our Broking teams, client interaction as well as research projects. This broad-based introduction to the reinsurance sector will position you for significant future growth opportunities.

How you'll make an impact
Day to day you'll be:
- Conducting advanced actuarial analysis to develop comprehensive loss models for client businesses
- Estimating reinsurance pricing and designing optimal reinsurance structures aligned with client risk profiles and underwriting strategies
- Presenting analyses in a clear and concise manner tailored to diverse audiences
- Providing value-added service and exceptional support to clients
- Engaging in market research and development initiatives
- Collaborating with a team of talented professionals, including actuaries, catastrophe modelers, rating agency advisors, and capital markets associates
You'll build strong working relationships with brokers and clients, and have good listening skills, seeking to understand the challenge fully. You'll exhibit a positive attitude and clearly explain technical concepts in appropriate detail with your audience.
In terms of problem solving you'll:
- Be able to apply advanced mathematical / actuarial concepts and techniques
- Be skilled in using Microsoft Excel and other software
- Be skilled in R and Python
- Seek appropriate data needed for analysis
- Consider issues in depth, not just superficially
- Find effective, creative solutions
- Apply a high standard of quality control
- Seek assistance / support as appropriate
About You
As a minimum requirement we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; 5-10 years' related experience
- ACAS or Near-ACAS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and R and/or Python
- Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel.
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside of normal business hours as required.
