Job Description

WTW is looking for a pricing actuary with commercial P&C insurance experience in the U.S. market to join as a Senior Actuarial Analyst in our Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) practice. In this role, you will collaborate with our team of pricing, portfolio management, underwriting, technology, and claims experts to deliver advisory and technology solutions to our commercial insurance clients.

ICT provides a powerful combination of advisory services for insurance companies, integrated with leading-edge technology solutions and software, all underpinned by unparalleled analytical capability. WTW has ambitious growth plans for our North America P&C practice, especially for Commercial P&C Insurance. Our Commercial Lines practice delivers a myriad of advisory and technology solutions to support insurers in increasing speed to market and efficiency, including capabilities benchmarking, predictive modeling, competitive market strategy, and implementing underwriting, claims, and actuarial technology solutions.

The Responsibilities
  • Participate on teams to deliver client projects, such as developing and evaluating predictive models, building raters, capabilities benchmarking, and implementing technology
  • Develop actuarial and market knowledge to establish subject matter expertise
  • Utilize WTW's technology products to deliver client engagements and support in demonstrating technology to existing and potential clients
  • Contribute to the development of WTW's intellectual capital and future proposition development, including go-to-market strategy
  • Meet billable hour target and support the team in sales, operating as a highly respected and effective consultant
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams


Qualifications

The Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years industry experience
  • Experience in actuarial pricing at a large commercial insurer
  • Understanding of core P&C commercial lines insurance products
  • Capable of leveraging past experience and expertise to adapt to current projects and challenges outside of core skill set
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing innovation solutions
  • Available to travel as needed

Nice to Haves
  • Progress toward FCIA/FCAS/FIA credentials
  • Exposure to WTW's Radar Suite of technology
  • Experience leading or participating on actuarial transformation projects
  • Participation in a rotational training program or exposure to multiple lines of business

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $100,00-$125,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
