DUTIES: SCOR Global Life Americas Reinsurance Company seeks Senior Actuarial Analyst - Financial Development in Charlotte, NC to serve as part of the Special modeling project team, support modeling related projects for the US Life business under International Finance Reporting Standards and Solvency II basis including financial impact assessment, assumption updates, and other ad-hoc projects. Support the explanation of financial results and business impacts for modelling projects to business unit management. Collaborate with Experience Analysis team for assumption updates including new assumption implementation in Prophet model, sensitivity testing and financial impact analysis. Collaborate with the governance team in reviewing the project results and completing governance documentation for the actuarial modelling projects. Utilize technology to perform job functions more efficiently and to further automate the modelling processes. Share technology solutions with other associates

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Quantitative Risk Analysis and Management or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing Excel including Pivot tables to summarize results; utilizing SQL to perform data manipulation; and utilizing actuarial calculation including decrementing and discounting and simplifying and extending calculations. 4 ASA level exams required. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. In the alternative the employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in one of the above-listed fields and one (1) year of experience in the above-listed skills.
