The Responsibilities
  • Help property and casualty insurance company (non-life) clients to improve business performance relating to insurance by solving practical business problems, applying the latest techniques and software solutions to help clients measure and manage risk and capital, grow revenue and create competitive advantage.
  • Develop pricing and predictive models for both personal and commercial lines of insurance, using both more traditional actuarial pricing methods, as well as advanced predictive modeling techniques.
  • Perform self-insurance and captives analysis of valuation of liabilities, risk retention and portfolio management.
  • Perform financial and regulatory reporting documents, develop and analyze statutory opinions, and evaluate complex liabilities (asbestos and other mass torts).
  • Conduct Enterprise Risk Management analyses, including enterprise risk assessment, financial risk modeling, capital management, and reinsurance optimization.
  • Participate in mergers, acquisitions and restructuring of our clients by performing due diligence and supporting sales and capital raising, corporate restructuring and rehabilitation, reinsurance and financing alternatives.
  • Perform technical and peer reviews of work products and work collaboratively with Analysts and Consultants to determine initial data needs, define analyses, analyze information, and produce clear, comprehensive reports.
  • Apply strong understanding of the property and casualty insurance (non-life) industry, as well as in-depth understanding of the various steps needed to prepare analyses for reserving, pricing and capital management activities.
  • Lead project teams dedicated to developing and delivering reserve studies, pricing analyses and capital management activities for our company and self-insured clients.
  • Lead project teams dedicated to developing and delivering Fair Value of Liabilities analyses for Insurance Linked Securities funds.
  • Serve as the day to day project lead, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards. Serve as daily contact to clients on delivery of services and develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects.
  • Promote marketing efforts and the growth of the practice area by supporting the generation of new business, developing new business opportunities, enhancing existing relationships, and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches.
  • Manage the local property and casualty insurance company (non-life) team to ensure workloads are optimal and career progression is a priority.
  • Mentor and coach various team members on our project based assignments.
