The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced professions to support the transformation of our pricing tools to a modern cloud based platform. The Pricing Analysis Lead will help support the overall Pricing Tool Modernization initiative, focusing on developing pricing algorithms and UI design. You will have an opportunity to work in a high visibility role with a broad team of professionals, including actuarial, underwriting, and operations among others
Key Responsibilities of this position include:
- Responsible for pricing models and data manipulation by partnering with actuaries to ensure standard pricing models
- Contributes to the multi-year transformation from legacy to modern, modular, cloud-based pricing tools.
- Partners with actuarial colleagues, IT, Operations, and Underwriting to develop our next generation pricing capabilities.
- Participates in the launch of new products and expand the capabilities of existing products in property, casualty, professional liability, and specialty lines of business.
- Identifies data issues requiring specialized actuarial attention to ensure proper setup.
- Participates in the education and training of others and is considered the subject matter expert in pricing tools for the Public Entity business
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 7+years of experience of technical experience developing Pricing tools and Models in an insurance setting.
- Robust understanding of pricing techniques, including ratemaking and predictive modeling.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing web apps in Python, R or similar languages.
- Strong SQL skills, including leveraging data for reporting capabilities.
- Experience in developing dashboards using Tableau, Power BI or similar products.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and negotiate with others and create acceptance for proposals.
- Experience with agile development.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
We will consider candidates in New York, Princeton, NJ or Hartford, CT. The salary range posted below applies to the Company's NYC location. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $110,500 - $162,000 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in NYC. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
