Job Description
Oliver Wyman’s Southeastern offices (Atlanta, Charlotte, and Nashville) are currently seeking a Senior Manager or Principal to support our rapidly growing property & casualty actuarial consulting practice. The Senior Manager or Principal could be located in Atlanta, Charlotte, or Nashville.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Ability to perform a wide range of actuarial engagements. Primary focus on loss reserving but additional engagements can include pricing/ratemaking, predictive modeling, and economic capital modeling. Client portfolio will likely include (but not be limited to) large corporations, captives, healthcare providers, and public entities.
- Manage new and takeover projects with minimal senior level involvement, serving as day to day project point person and effectively handling client communications
- Review the work of analysts, ensuring technical accuracy and integrity on a wide variety of analyses, templates and exhibits
- Support training, developing and mentoring of analysts on project teams to aide in their career growth
- Prepare production of exhibits and written reports to present findings to clients
- Attend and participate in client meetings as required
- Develop and maintain strong relationships for business development activities, including generating leads and new business opportunities
- Leading and assisting in the preparation of proposals and presentations for prospective clients

Requirements and Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance, business or related field
- 7+ years of experience in the property & casualty industry
- ACAS or FCAS credential
- Loss reserving experience
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with medical professional liability exposures is a plus
- Experience with programming languages such as R, R-Shiny, Python is a plus but not required
