How you'll contribute:
As a Managing Actuary you'll be responsible for leading in the development, implementation, and maintenance of life and annuity assumptions.
In this role, you'll get to:
- Enhance processes for setting and maintaining assumptions and renewal rates.
- Collaborate with partner areas on developing and implementing assumptions in the Actuarial Present Value (APV) models.
- Support the Annuity Exceptions team with ad hoc calculations of policy values, actuarial costs related to policy value changes, and annuitization quote requests.
- Represent the Inforce Management team in key meetings; develop materials to provide insight on key initiatives and collect feedback and input on assumptions and future projects.
- Effectively lead a team of actuarial students with a collaborative culture. Support students in their actuarial exam progress.
We're looking for people who have:
- A Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related fields.
- ASA designation and 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience in the life insurance industry is a plus.
- Previous involvement in assumption setting/experience studies a plus, preferred.
- Capable of effectively handling multiple long-term projects and short-term ad hoc tasks at the same time.
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Can adjust work resources and deadlines in response to changing business priorities.
- Strong project management skills a plus

- Compensation - Base salary ranging from $125,000 - $155,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
