The Role
Moody's Insurance Business Unit is seeking its Head of Product Management to lead our Actuarial Solutions team, reporting into the global Head of Product Management for Life solutions. This critical role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Moody's actuarial solutions. As the leader of this function, you will drive the product vision, strategy, and delivery of our Life Actuarial applications, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients, maintain Moody's position as a market leader in its core market and expand into new market segments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Strategy and Vision:
    • Define and communicate a compelling strategic product vision for our Life Actuarial solutions.
    • Engage regularly with strategic clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to understand market needs and drivers for change.
    • Develop and execute long-term product strategies that drive business growth and maintain Moody's competitive advantage in the insurance market.
  • Product Development and Lifecycle Management:
    • Oversee the entire product lifecycle of Life Actuarial Applications, from ideation and requirements gathering to release and maintenance, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
    • Build strong relationships with key clients and partners to understand their unique requirements and feedback to inform product roadmap decisions.
    • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise and Innovation:
    • Collaborate with the Model and Engineering teams to stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
    • Anticipate market needs and proactively address emerging challenges.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product management team.
    • Partner with other teams (Product, Engineering, Model...) to ensure alignment, efficient resource utilization, and seamless integration.
    • Strategically allocate and manage global resources to maximize impact and efficiency.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional experience in product management, with at least 7+ years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Life actuarial workflows, with 5+ years of experience in a client facing role within the life insurance industry.
  • Deep familiarity with industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements affecting the insurance sector.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing product strategies that drive business results.
  • Ability to translate complex client needs and market trends into actionable product requirements.
  • Experience leading through organizational change, fostering alignment and collaboration during transitions while maintaining focus on strategic objectives and team engagement.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, making strategic decisions to balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $208,200.00 - $301,950.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
