Job Description

Overview:

The RGA Internship Program is committed to providing students with meaningful work and a chance to gain a wide knowledge of the insurance industry and to network with fellow interns and full-time associates. We provide a welcoming environment where students are encouraged to ask questions and contribute their ideas while expanding their technical and communication skills.

Actuarial Intern duties will vary by hiring department.

Responsibilities:

Sample projects and duties include:
  • Assist in implementing and/or maintaining actuarial models.
  • Manipulate, summarize, and/or analyze large amounts of data.
  • Assist in developing, enhancing, and automating processes.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other RGA departments.


Requirements:
  • Progress toward completion of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics or related field.
  • Intermediate PC and technical skills.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Takes initiative and is accountable.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to balance detail with department goals and objectives.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Complex analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and participate in department projects.
  • A1 Actuarial Exams preferred for internship positions.
