What the day will look like
Aon Consulting, Inc., an Aon company, seeks a Health and Benefits Analyst - Actuarial based out of headquarters in Chicago, Illinois to conduct actuarial analysis. Provide analytical and project support to actuaries for insurance and financial actuarial services. Collect and analyze data to identify and resolve inconsistencies. Conduct underwriting analyses based on clients' plan history and change in risk to negotiate the best insurance rates possible. Prepare flexible benefit pricing for group insurance renewals and financial reports. Support consultants with negotiating renewal ratings. Prepare quarterly experience reviews and letters and financial exhibits. Collect, visualize, and analyze data using Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Perform market reviews and benchmarks. Analyze quotations and prepare specifications for seeking quotations. Prepare client reports summarizing quotation results. Review group insurance contracts, agreements, and employee booklets. Assist in analytic projects including pooling risk simulations and drugs utilization review. Maintain knowledge of group systems, products, and technology, with a detailed understanding of how these relate to group insurance consulting. May telecommute from home from anywhere in the United States. May work from various and unanticipated Aon office worksites throughout the United States. Annual salary: $79,040 - $118,400.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field plus two years of actuarial analysis experience. Must have at least two years of experience in each of the following: 1. Providing analytical and project support to actuaries for insurance and financial actuarial services; 2. Collecting and analyzing data to identify and resolve inconsistencies; 3. Preparing flexible benefit pricing for group insurance renewals and financial reports; 4. Collecting, visualizing, and analyzing data using Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; 5. Performing market reviews and benchmarks; and 6. Assisting in analytic projects including pooling risk simulations and drugs utilization review.

Salary range or hourly pay range for the position
The salary range for this position is $79,040 - $118,400 annually.
