Job Description:

We're actively seeking a talented Global Treasury Captial Market Associate to join our team in Newport Beach. This role can be on-site, hybrid or remote.

As a Global Treasury Captial Market Associate you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by collaborating with various teams to help with the initiative set forth by treasury managers within the Treasury Function.

You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of two people in the corporate finance department. Your colleagues will include other treasury professionals.

How you will make an impact:
  • Model and/or aggregate FX, Collateral and Liquidity calculations for the Enterprise and its reporting subsidiaries including attribution and detailed explanations for movements and variances
  • Forecast balance sheet for each entity and develop a rolling plan capturing evolution of key management metrics
  • Provide pro-forma key metrics for financial transactions or solutions
  • Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance and Risk teams on asset liability modelling and related areas that inform risk appetite, performance thresholds and stress and scenario testing
  • Support in development and documentation of financial optimization solutions
  • Collaborate and create high quality management reports and presentations
  • As appropriate, liaise with regulatory, compliance and legal teams to ensure appropriate governance
  • Create and update documentation supporting modelling and key management decision frameworks


The experience you bring:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Treasury/Finance, FX/Collateral/Liquidity/Risk Management or Financial Engineering
  • Experience in insurance industry is strongly desirable


What makes you stand out:
  • A degree in a quantitative field is preferred with professional certification attainted or in-process e.g., CFA, FRM a plus
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze sophisticated financial modeling
  • Advanced MS Office skills including experience with data analytics/visualization software is preferred

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$108,000.00 - $132,000.00
