The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s Actuarial Department is hiring a Director Actuary Corporate Actuarial (experienced studies), to prepare actuarial analysis for senior management understanding of current and strategic endeavors. You will address the need to provide company-wide analysis of expenses, financial projections, oversight of financial statement results, experience studies, and support M&A activities.

This is your opportunity to assist with assumptions setting, coordinate annual reserve testing and annual financial planning. You will also assist with multiple process improvement and demand management initiatives and assist the valuation actuaries as a key resource to any tactical or strategic projection.

As a Director Actuary Corporate Actuarial (experienced studies), your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating enterprise actuarial projections for financial planning and reserve testing.

  • Managing 10-K, actuarial memorandum, and consolidated reporting for valuation and corporate actuarial functions.

  • Assisting with company expense analysis including the development of appropriate expense assumptions for modeling needs.

  • Developing and overseeing the product pricing confirmation process within Corporate Actuarial.

  • Coordination of annual stress testing analysis.

  • Development of experience studies to support cashflow testing, principle-based reserves, and pricing functions.

  • Providing policy data to external requestors (SOA, state insurance commissioners, etc.).

The Director Actuary Corporate Actuarial (experienced studies) position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Possess knowledge of interest sensitive products.

  • Are skilled in financial reporting and disclosures.

  • Have familiarity with actuarial reserve testing and embedded value modeling.

  • Hold outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).

  • Experience with reinsurance concepts.

  • Have a high attention to detail and understanding of product pricing.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or equivalent.

  • Ten years of relevant actuarial experience.

What will set you apart:

  • Previous Management experience is preferred.

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience with PolySystems and SAS preferred.

  • Central or Eastern time zones strongly preferred.

Compensation

Pay Range: $150,200.00 - $225,400.00 Annual
