We're actively seeking a talented Director - PRT Pricing to join our Pension Risk Transfer Pricing team in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha NE or Lynchburg, VA.

As a Director & Actuary - PRT Pricing you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by playing a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by leading the pricing workflows for our Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business. You will work closely and collaboratively with numerous areas including Pricing and Product Development, Risk Management, Modeling within the Institutional Division and across the enterprise. The Institutional Division is a rapidly growing and innovative Division, as such this role provides a great opportunity to continue to enhance the pricing process, think outside the box, and build oneself as an expert on the pricing of innovative products that are both novel to the company and the insurance industry.
You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 15 people in the Institutional Division. Your colleagues will include actuaries and pricing analysts with varied backgrounds in PRT, ALM, reinsurance, mortality studies, and capital management. The PRT Pricing teams works in a fast paced and constantly evolving marketspace. We value nimble learning, decision quality, and teamwork and complete work in a matrix design to allow for the most efficient resource management.

If you are experienced in the PRT market and are a self-starter with a strong technical background and experience leading a team, you would make a great fit for this role.
How you'll help move us forward:
- Lead a team of actuarial students and pricing analysts through the transaction process.
- Develop pricing and product solutions and recommend pricing assumptions for PRT.
- Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to create strategic bidding strategies.
- Coordinate with the post-sale implementation teams (valuation, admin, legal, and) to provide actuarial support and required business deliverables as needed.
- Complete Mortality Experience Data (MED) review and analysis, leveraging new tools and technologies where appropriate.
- Present and defend pricing results and assumption/methodology changes to key stakeholders.
- Monitor profitability and business performance for future pricing.
The experience you bring:
- FSA or EA with 6+ years of related experience in actuarial pricing and product development.
- Direct experience with Pension Risk Transfer products.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong management, team-building, and communication skills.
- Excellent project management and business partnering abilities.
- Proven leadership with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to understand the big picture and mobilize initiatives in ambiguous situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$193,950.00 - $237,050.00
