The position will be based in Whitehouse Station NJ and supports Chubb’s Personal Risk Services (PRS) Division, a provider of Homeowners, Automobile, Umbrella, and Rec Marine insurance products to individuals.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                                                        

  • Support PRS actuarial work, from the perspectives of data preparation/management and data analysis using statistical techniques.
  • Set up data validation routines to ensure consistency and accuracy of actuarial dataset; cleanse and prepare data.
  • Develop and maintain queries to retrieve data for state rate indications, pricing proposals, and countrywide pricing study.
  • Develop analytical tools and create reports/dashboards to monitor trends and results.
  • Explore external data sources for rating plan refinement.
  • Identify and implement new process improvement opportunities.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or similar technical discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze data.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.
  • Knowledge of data visualization software such as Power BI, Qlik.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise verbal and written communications of analyses, results, and work products.
  • Good organization skills with the ability to maintain detailed documentation and record keeping.
