In this strategic role, the focus is on driving the profitable expansion of HSB's existing key reinsured clients. This involves offering high-level consultation to primary insurance companies, both commercial and personal lines, within the assigned region.

The primary targets of this consultation are executives and top management at the home offices of HSB's clients. The essence of this role is to understand and align with the client's unique needs and objectives, providing them with HSB's tailored solutions that can significantly contribute to their strategic goals and direction.

A critical aspect of this position is leading a dedicated client integration team. This team is not just a point of contact but a strategic partner for each client, working closely with them to bring added value and assist in achieving their specific strategies and objectives. The goal is to create and nurture a symbiotic relationship where HSB's expertise and solutions are seamlessly integrated into the client's operations, leading to mutual growth and success. This role demands a deep understanding of the clients' industries, challenges, and opportunities, enabling the development of customized, strategic solutions that resonate with the clients' long-term vision and contribute substantially to their progress and profitability.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • MBA is preferred
  • CPCU or CIC or actuarial exams is highly desirable
  • 7+ years of proven industry experience in Commercial or Personal Lines
  • Experience in business finance (P&L)
  • Experience in Underwriting and Operations, and solid working knowledge devising marketing objectives and plans
  • Working knowledge of Commercial Lines, Personal Lines and Reinsurance
  • This position requires travel, which can include overnight travel, as much as 40-50%


Knowledge and Skills:
  • Consultative Selling
  • Financial (Business Finance)
  • General Industry knowledge
  • Insurance Concepts/knowledge
  • Excellent communications skills along as well as consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in PC skills, Power Point, Excel, and Word.
  • Project management skills desired with loss cost and rate making background is a plus
  • Territory/Client Management
