As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Data Science Associate Director you will be a key member of the Financial Actuarial & Analytics (FAA) Community of Expertise. You will significantly contribute to complex clients across the full spectrum of employer health with the possibility of leading clients' financial/actuarial engagements
A significant component of the job is intellectual capital development. This position is responsible for providing actuarial expertise contributing to business growth. The ideal candidate will have deep modelling expertise (data science background preferable). You will be a subject matter expert collaborating with cross-functional leaders across the entire value stream on the development and execution of the product vision, strategy, development roadmap, value proposition, and product enhancements. Your responsibilities may also include the support of technology related requirements and initiatives. This position manages financial analytical responsibilities and ensures project completion within established timelines and quality standards. Contributes to the development of new approaches and tools. Develops and mentors more junior team members.
Please Note: Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.
The Role
- Design and implement scalable, efficient, and automated data pipelines and analytics solution including vendor ROI evaluation, benchmarking, data warehousing, etc.
- Support and drive broader initiatives related to the Health Solutions strategy
- Support the development of stop loss solutions
- May include analysis of value-based care and other risk-taking arrangements
- Expands knowledge of varying client complexity by working across different client profiles
- Provides leadership to more junior colleagues on FAA concepts, strategies and tools
- Supports new business, expansion and cross-selling activities
Qualifications
The Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in financial modeling, statistical and quantitative analysis, and/or or risk management (actuarial services is a plus, but not required)
- Experience in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, databrick, Python preferable
- Proven experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization
- Expert knowledge of healthcare claims data and proven ability to work with large data
- Proven ability to lead multiple clients/projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within budget
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- Relevant experience in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science and/or university degree

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements for various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role base on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual qualifications, education/profession certifications, experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $115,000- $150,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
