Summary of the role
We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our fast paced, and nimble Ceded Reinsurance group. This team administers and manages Corebridge's traditional and non-traditional reinsurance across our life and annuity business. The individual will work very closely with M&A, treasury, financial reporting, investments, legal, valuation, IT, and accounting to ensure the team can deliver on key strategic initiatives. This will be an individual contributor role with the potential for future management opportunities.
Your future team
Corebridge Financial has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director and Actuary to join its Ceded Reinsurance team This position will report to the Vice President & Actuary - Ceded Reinsurance. This role will work across various lines of business and have the following key responsibilities:
- Manage the relationships and deliverables for our key reinsurance transactions. Review inforce reinsurance settlement models along with recommending and making process enhancements. Build and assist with performance analytics under the lens of various accounting regimes
- Responsible for the end-to-end onboarding of new deals. Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure a smooth and repeatable process
- Ensure proper documentation and control standards are followed for all transactions
- Research and coordinate responses to requests from management, department of insurance, internal and external parties
- Lead and run the various inforce management initiatives across various lines of business
- Support the broader team to accomplish team goals
Position requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
- 8+ years of progressively more responsible actuarial experience
- Strong math aptitude and excellent analytical, problem solving and verbal / written communication skills
- Excellent technical skills including Excel and Access; Mainframe experience is a plus
- Attention to details, organization, and high level of accuracy are required skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Excellent team player
