WTW is looking for a P&C pricing actuary or data scientist with commercial lines insurance experience in the U.S. market in both market-facing and home office or product management roles to join as an Associate Director in our Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) practice. In this role, you will collaborate with our team of pricing, portfolio management, underwriting, finance, and claims experts to deliver advisory and technology solutions to our commercial insurance clients.

WTW has ambitious growth plans for our North America P&C practice, especially for Commercial P&C Insurance. Our Commercial Lines practice delivers a myriad of advisory and technology solutions to support insurers in increasing speed to market and efficiency, including capabilities benchmarking, predictive modeling, competitive market strategy, and implementing underwriting, claims, and actuarial technology solutions.

The Responsibilities
- Lead, build, and participate on teams to deliver analytically-focused client projects
- Execute work on client projects such as predictive model builds and peer reviews, market assessments, regulatory filing engagements, and capabilities benchmarking
- Meet billable hour target and support the team in sales, operating as a highly respected and effective consultant
- Support the development of carrier relationships relevant to WTW's services, both by utilizing existing network and cultivating new relationships
- Leverage pricing and market knowledge to serve as a subject matter expert
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication
- Listen critically to client challenges to scope, craft, and deliver on engagements
- Discuss and demonstrate applications of WTW's technology products to clients
- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
- Serve as a mentor and project manager to more junior colleagues, training them on both the technical and theoretical aspects of underwriting as well as project delivery methods
- Constantly seek out opportunities to improve efficiency in our delivery models and to develop new propositions and client offerings
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years industry experience
- Experience in pricing at a large commercial insurer
- Comprehensive understanding of core P&C commercial lines insurance products
- Capable of leveraging past experience and expertise to adapt to current projects and challenges outside of core skill set
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing innovation solutions
- Committed to training and mentoring less experienced colleagues
- Practiced in managing complex projects and delegating work to senior and junior colleagues
- Available to travel as needed
Nice to Haves
- Progress toward FCIA/FCAS/FIA credentials
- Exposure to WTW's Radar Suite of technology
- Experience leading or participating on actuarial transformation projects
- Participation in a rotational training program or exposure to multiple lines of business

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $175,000 - $225,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
