What you do:As a key member of the corporate risk management function, you lead the risk analysis of our product portfolio. This involves partnering with product development to monitor that pricing and portfolio management is within risk tolerance, hits profit targets and conforms to other corporate guidelines. Participates in evaluation of new product idea generation and development. In addition, this role will serve to help evaluate capital and reinsurance considerations within the product portfolio.

This is a high profile role, with a lot of exposure throughout the organization; executive presence and ability to be comfortable both collaborating with and challenging key stakeholders is key. As well, corporate risk serves as a liaison to the Allianz Group risk function; corporate risk serves an important and very valued role within Allianz Life.

Manages and executes actuarial projects including analyses of issues and problems or recommendations of solutions and other related to actuarial issues in the development of products, pricing strategies, financial forecasts, reserve valuation, experience and risk analysis providing management of the company's insurance products.

Develops and manages projects, analyzes risks and results and provides options and recommendations including:
• New product analysis
• Product management tools and studies
• Business and related forecasts
• Implementation of new valuation methods

Development, design and maintenance of models or financial systems to analysis risks within portfolio

Engage with external auditors, state regulators, industry groups, and rating agencies

Manages, trains and /or directs work of other actuaries, providing employee and career development

What you bring:
  • 8+ years' experience required within the Actuarial field
  • Bachelor's degree required in Actuarial Science, Math, Physics, Economics, Engineering or related field
  • Achieved ASA and working toward FSA
  • Experience in financial services or industry preferred
