Are you resourceful and motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset? Are you able to manage multiple tasks and thrive when dealing with ambiguity? We are looking for an Associate Actuary II to demonstrate sufficient progress in understanding and applying basic actuarial principals, to join our Pension Risk Transfer Pricing team.

In this role you will support the company's PRT objectives by contributing to the pricing strategy of the business to ensure the successful launch of the platform, and the achievement of sales and profitability targets. You will also assist with building out the PRT department and providing leadership to more junior members of the team.

Responsibilities include improving the processes used to perform and communicate complex actuarial analyses such as actuarial exhibits, pricing, reserving, financial planning, modeling, other data analyses, and other tasks as assigned, and mentoring the US PRT pricing team.

What you'll do:
  • Applies fundamental actuarial principles to effectively:
  • Prepare and/or review Group Annuity Quotes with minimal guidance
  • Analyze data and longevity risk for bids and related analysis to refine the company's longevity underwriting and support valuation
  • Support risk assessment with analysis of sensitivities and stress tests
  • Analyze annuitant behavioral experience to support ongoing refinement of liability models
  • Stays updated on evolving standards that impact the business including LDTI, PBR, and government regulation
  • Completes processes and improves methods for performing and documenting actuarial analyses promptly and accurately
  • Trains less experienced analysts with spreadsheets, databases, and sources of data used in actuarial analyses


Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field with a strong mathematical background is required
  • Knowledge of Group Annuities and/or Pensions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) attainment
  • At least six years of actuarial analysis and a track record of performance


Preferred Experience:
  • Python experience
  • GGY Axis experience
  • Experience in Pension Risk Transfer or Pensions
