Responsibilities:
• Role will be based in the Enterprise Stat - Projections Team. This role provides a unique opportunity for the associate to develop a blend of technical and business knowledge.
• The associate's primary responsibilities will be Individual Annuities (IA) and Group Insurance (GI) asset adequacy testing (AAT) production, sensitivity testing, stress testing, and required capital calculation. Work will involve direct exposure to the modeling of IA and GI asset Liability Management (ALM). The associate will develop a strong understanding of ALM modeling as well as the skills to analyze the projection output and identify drivers of results.
• The associate should have a tech-forward and process improvement mindset. There will be opportunities to be creative with technology and develop a new solution to simplify or streamline an existing process.
• The associate will also practice results communication. Analysis of the ALM model results will be communicated to team members and management.

The candidate responsibilities include:
o Generate asset/liability projections for multiple reporting and internal management purposes including: Statutory Asset Adequacy Testing (AAT) to assist the Appointed Actuary to form an Opinion, and for required capital analysis, and enterprise risk management
o Assist in developing more robust analytics/attribution capabilities to validate results and explain period over period changes.
o Engage in projects to support business initiatives, new products, and modeling/methodology improvements.
o Test and validate modeling changes and ensure reasonability of overall model results.
o Collaborate with other members of the Projections COE, as well as Assumption, Modeling, etc.
o Timely and accurate delivery of results
Job Requirements:
o Experience with asset-liability modeling for Asset Adequacy Testing and/or experience in a related area (pricing, portfolio management, etc.) is preferred.
o Knowledge of Annuity products, a plus
o Strong quantitative and communication skills to quickly learn and apply complex modeling concepts and be able to communicate to both actuarial and non-actuarial business partners.
o Self-motivated individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
o Knowledge of Investments (mainly Fixed Income assets) is preferred
o Experience with actuarial modeling software (GGY AXIS) is preferred.
o Strong technical skills required to efficiently analyze large amounts of data (Excel, VBA, SQL)
o Professional designation (ASA/FSA, CERA, and/or CFA) or progress towards, is preferred

o Open to remote/virtual location outside of commutable Newark, NJ locations.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $111,400.00 to $165,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
