How you'll contribute:
As a Senior Actuarial Associate, you'll be responsible for leading model validations within the company and researching key emerging actuarial issues within the life insurance space. This position sits within the Corporate Risk Management (CRM) and will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across different business functions including Pricing, Valuation, Asset Liability Management (ALM), and Audit.

In this role, you'll get to:
  • Conduct independent model reviews, testing, and validation of models, including review of model documentation, evaluating risks, and proposing review strategies and recommendations to enhance the company's risk management.
  • Advise business partners, CRM team members, and management on regulatory compliance requirements and best practices with respect to effective model risk management.
  • Provide support related to model development, validation, and testing, through partnership with other teams, such as valuation, ALM, and pricing. Partner to understand their needs.
  • Support the Model Governance function by performing risk-based reviews.
  • Provide support to strengthen risk oversight in insurance risk management including risk reporting and monitoring.
  • Perform other CRM initiatives as needed.


We're looking for people who have:
  • Bachelor's in actuarial science, computer science, finance, mathematics, or related field is preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling knowledge and experience.
  • Advanced experience with Excel and VBA.
  • Experience in using actuarial modeling software such as Prophet or similar.
  • Actuarial credentials highly preferred.
  • Prior experience on VM-20 and pre-PBR life valuation guidelines a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
