Job Description
This Actuarial Analyst position is part of the Medicaid Actuarial Growth and Strategy team and primarily focuses on identifying savings opportunities for Aetna Medicaid's Long Term Services and Support (LTSS) unit cost and utilization to improve financial performance for all Medicaid LTSS markets. Work scope may expand beyond the LTSS products as needed to support the broader objectives of Aetna's Medicaid Line of Business. This position's responsibilities include:
- Conduct LTSS utilization and unit cost benchmark analytics for all Medicaid markets.
- Coordinate with the Aetna Medicaid Market actuaries to help identify drivers for high trends or deviation from state pricing expectation.
- Seek and incorporate Market actuaries' feedback on analytics and generate action items to help improve performance.
- Identify outliers in experience for potential savings opportunity.

Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of at least 1 Society of Actuaries Exams
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite; proficiency in Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Actuarial Internship experience
- Experience with SQL or other programming language
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or Math or Finance related fields
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,888.00 - $102,081.60
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
