Come join the Verus team as a summer intern! Our interns work with many different people to learn and gain hands on experience in actuarial work and data. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in starting their career. We will be hiring an intern to learn and grow in a cohort environment.
Responsibilities
Interns are responsible for performing Actuarial related support duties while gaining valuable real-world experience which can be utilized both personally and professionally. Resume builder and stepping stone to a future career in the Insurance Industry.
- Assist with improving automation and building efficiencies to existing tasks
- Analyze internal and external data
- Assist with projects
- Assist with actuarial analysis (pricing and reserving work)
Qualifications
- Current college student (and/or recent graduate) working towards a degree program in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related field with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be willing to work collaboratively and embrace innovative ideas and processes
- Must be technology focused and proficient in the use of a computer and its applications
- Passing of one actuarial exam preferred
- Proficiency with Excel and SQL preferred
- Familiarity with basic insurance concepts through coursework preferred

This is an hourly position (non-exempt). The actual salary for this position includes:
Hourly: $15.00-20.00 per hour
As a temporary employee, you will likely not be eligible for Company Benefits under the terms of the applicable plans.
