Schwab Retirement Plan Services, Inc. provides recordkeeping, administration, participant education and communication, plan design, consulting, actuarial services, and compliance testing for a total of over 900 defined contribution, defined benefit, and nonqualified retirement plans.
We are looking for an Enrolled Actuary to be primarily responsible for preparing, reviewing and delivering DB services to support our corporate clients and self-employed individuals and small businesses. Specifically, the person will:
- Consult with and manage relationships of prospective/ongoing clients and advisors
- Prepare, peer review and/or certify annual actuarial reporting and contribution estimates
- Prepare, peer review and/or certify government forms filings for both ongoing and terminating plans (e.g. Form 5500, Schedule SB, Annual Funding Notice, PBGC Premium, IRS Form 5310, PBGC Form 500)
What you have

- Good oral and written communications skills; experience explaining retirement plan information or other complex concepts to customers and prospects

- Good organizational skills, shows attention to detail
- Computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Current Enrolled Actuary with demonstrated proficiency managing client and advisor relationships
- At least ten years of work experience with substantial retirement plan and/or defined benefit services
- Degree(s) in Business, Finance, Math, Actuarial Science, or Accounting
