CNO Financial Group is hiring an Actuary, Corporate Actuarial to conduct experience studies for the life, health, and annuity lines of business. As the Actuary, you will work closely with actuarial, finance, and technology/data partners to deliver actuarial analyses including experience studies, expense analyses, and other projects supporting management and reporting activities as necessary.
This is your opportunity to drive insights into our experience and play a role in developing an analytical framework that will support our business for years to come. This role will also assist as a key resource for Corporate Actuarial projects.
As an Actuary, Corporate Actuarial , your responsibilities will include:
Preparing experience studies for valuation and product management
Gathering and cleansing data and assumptions for experience analysis
Analyzing results and delivering insights to actuarial and finance
Partnering with valuation and product management to develop new studies
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing analyses using SAS and other tools
Collaborating with technology and data teams to identify, define, and remediate areas for data processing improvement
Maintaining documentation and audit controls for each experience study
Working with valuation to develop and test new assumptions
Delivering actuarial analysis, responses, and communications to management
The Actuary, Corporate Actuarial position is well-suited for you if you:
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Possess strong analytic skills
Are detail-oriented
Are effective in balancing multiple projects
Are able to work independently and within a team
What you’ll need:
Bachelor degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science, or 8 years of experience as equivalent
Five years of experience in actuarial science
ASA designation
What will set you apart:
Experience with SQL, SAS or other programming language
Willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours

All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
